Takes place in the city of your choice
We have pre-established Scavenger Hunts in these cities:

| Las Vegas | Mobile | Washington, DC |
This is no Ordinary Scavenger Hunt
Welcome to Team Building USA's Scavenger Hunt! Our hunts take place in the
city of your choice. We come in several days before your event and custom
design the hunt using the history, architecture and ambiance of the city.
Most hunts take place in historic districts and by the end of the hunt your
team will know the city better than the locals. Think of it as a historic
guided tour - teambuilding style!
That's right, this is is no ordinary scavenger hunt where you get a laundry list of items, then run around and grab as many as you can and try and beat everyone else back to base. Nope, this is a team building scavenger hunt extraordinaire! You will be challenged to solve complex problems, overcome obstacles, carefully utilize your limited resources and rely upon your teammates for expertise and support.
"This was terrific! I wish I could bring my grandchildren."

Teams, Clues and Codes
The scavenger hunt works for groups from 6 - 1,000. The group is divided
into small teams, roles are defined, objectives are clarified and commitments
are made. Each team creates a name and a slogan for themselves and then
the teams are given their first set of scavenger hunt clues. Each team also
gets a "clue kit". These kits contain the essential ingredients
needed by the team to break codes, figure out the clues and attain solutions.
Clue kits contain clues, magnifying glass, compass, map and additional code-breaking
equipment.
The Team Building Scavenger Hunt
Agenda
This first leg of the hunt has 4 - 8 clues. Teams must decode each clue,
navigate to its destination and solve the puzzle found at the site. Correct
answers gain victory points for the team while incorrect answers just waste
everyone's time (just like at work).
Teams report back to base camp, score their answers and engage in a facilitated debrief of the team building dynamics they just experienced. It is typical for teams to fiercly compete against each other in this opening round. However the teams that kept information from other teams, went off and did their own thing and engaged in individualistic behavior, rather than team-oriented/supportive behavior, usually score lower. This helps set the stage for the next phase of the scavenger hunt.
The main scavenger hunt has 8 - 15 puzzles/clues and is significantly more difficult than the first leg. This part of the scavenger hunt can include tailored clues, specific to your company. Teams that work together increase everyone's score and place the organization in a much better position to win the entire event.
Scavenger Hunt Team Building Results
The clues challenge your team to employ a wide variety of problem solving
skills: code-breaking, foreign languages, riddles, mathematics, innovation
and good old-fashioned detective work. In addition to problem solving skills,
the more you utilize team work skills (communication, role definition, encouragement,
cooperation and support) the higher your score will be. Because of the way
the scavenger hunt is structured, the normal "win at all costs"
attitude is challenged. Teamwork wins the day in this event.
Participants have lots of fun with this scavenger hunt and learn valuable experiential team building lessons. The scavenger hunt concludes with each team member setting a specific goal regarding one action they will implement to help their team back at work improve.
Team Building USA wishes to acknowledge Dr. Clue treasure hunts for inspiring the model and many of the methods used in our scavenger hunts.
